Only in love are unity and duality not in conflict said the poet Rabindranath Tagore. That includes self-love, compassion for being human, and understanding of one's limiting beliefs. Then, Equilibrium is reached.

EQUILIBRIUM
Self-Integration Processes
At their core, Equilibrium and PEAT have the same goals with two approaches. The common goals are:
(1) You identify and integrate the best part of your personality (ego) to optimally function in daily life in the physical world (our common reality).
(2) You move beyond your limited personal identity and character armor (your story) to a position of awareness as a human being instead of a human doing.
(3) You realize the core Self is a combination of conscious awareness of what plays out in your life as you observe the play and that this awareness is your default position, not what happens to you.
(4) The "monkey brain" is calmed and you are able to step back and observe your thoughts and emotions but are not ensnared by them. You realize that awareness is not thinking.
The two approaches are described below:

EQUILIBRIUM
Here is a basic outline of how these processes work:
THE LADDER - takes you through the levels of consciousness as outlined in David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D's pioneering work on human development in consciousness and awareness leading you to personal integrity.
ASPECT ANALYSIS - teaches you about your strengths and weaknesses as compared to the commonly accepted desireable qualities of human evolution as developed by David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D., and shows you how to manifest them.
SELF-STATE INVENTORY - this process allows you to identify desirable personality traits accepted by almost all developed societies. It is useful in developing a map of your development and helps in resolving outstanding issues hindering personal, professional, emotional and spiritual growth. By emphasizing and working with positive qualities, overall healing is accelerated. (Why always dwell on the negative in therapy? Let's emphasize the positive as well and celebrate our strengths).
THE FOUR DIRECTIONS - integrates the 4 stages of life, birth and infancy, youth, adulthood, and maturation and aging and death, in an experiential "medicine wheel" of dialoging with your egoic self and Higher Self in each of those phases. Polarities are discreated and unified consciousness results.
THE MEDICINE WHEEL - similar to The Four Directions process, the medicine wheel places the four cardinal obstacles challenging you at the 4 cardinal points. The client and the obstacles dialog with one another in turn. Positions are cleared or emptied as the dialog takes place.
TRUTH TELLING - allows you to speak openly and honestly to anyone who has had either a negative or positive effect in your life, one that is part of your way of Being in the world, good or bad. Most clients process negative influences, but therapy to reinforce the positive is just as important. You dialog with the individual at first, and then you assume their POV and they dialog with you. The conversation is somewhat guided by the processor as you learn to "walk in another man's shoes."
GROUP WORK AND SATSANG
Satsang is a word which comes from Sanskrit, meaning to associate with like people, true people, or to be in the company of seekers and finders. It literally means to sit and learn from a teacher and from one another. The many immensely successful 12 step programs are based on this healing method.
The group dynamic is a strong support in emotional and spiritual healing. Individual therapy is often enhanced by group work, guided meditation and feedback. Meditating or meeting with like minded seekers and finders helps develop positive habits. Feedback is a valuable tool in the healing process, especially from someone who supports you. There is a synergy that is created when people work together. The healing power that is cultivated creates a ripple effect of peace and well-being. People learn from each other and are exposed to new ideas and insights. Besides, everything is better when it is shared. You will also be less likely to fall away from your practice of self-integration. Shared experiences bond people together as support, wisdom and healing are experienced with others of like mind. The group also asks participants for accountability and responsibility, which means each participant has to make healing a priority to keep up with the group.
While group satsangs are teaching gatherings, much of the time is devoted to questions from the group and direct answers from the processor. Most questions that come up are universal to the group so everyone benefits from an individual participant's questions. Answers are framed in the broadest sense possible to apply to as many attendees as possible, but specific issues are also addressed and insights shared. The question and answer portion is generally saved for the last 3/4 of the session after an introductory lesson or meditation.
Wisdom means you have run out of words. (Paraphrasing the great spiritual teachers of the ages).
Truth is relative taken in context at the level of consciousness of the believer. (Paraphrasing David. R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D).
PEAT
PEAT
Here is a basic outline of how these processes work:
(Note: PEAT is the acronym for Prime Energy Activation and Transcendence).
You pick a personal issue to work on after an initial intake. Then, you assign a stress rating to the issue on a scale of 0 to 10, no stress to high stress. You make a guided statement of affirmation about your issue and your essential self-acceptance. You work through a selected PEAT process most suitable to your issue. We work together until your issue is resolved or neutralized and your stress is zero or low enough for you continue into your day. More than one process session may be required to neutralize a polarity or issue.
Deep PEAT - a "rotor rooter" process that integrates your prime polarities, or prime tensions, that have been controlling your life perhaps since childhood. A state of pleroma or integration is reached at the end of the process. The goal is to push through the deepest resistance.
Shallow PEAT - an on-the-spot technique that can be self-administered to undo the negative effects of a current problem or one that emerges periodically. The challenge is neutralized through awareness when it comes up and applying Shallow PEAT then and there.
DEEP PEAT 2, 3 and 4 - processes that integrate body, image, thought and emotion (BITE) responses to a specific situation or challenge. The sensory tools we humans use are employed to clear issues. The processes are fairly short and demand focus. The end result is resolution of the issue and the discharge residual discomfort. These processes rely heavily on integrating the left and right lobes of the brain and synchronizing brain waves.
VERBAL REDUCTION AND EXPANSION - a structured "talk" technique in which the issue is addressed in expanding and then contracting dialog with intermediate steps of taking stock of body, image, thought and emotion (taking a BITE). The therapists is a partner in this exercise. Statement of the issue is followed by a sentence, then two, three and four sentences followed by one WORD. At each step, a BITE inventory is taken. If not resolved, the process moves in reverse from 4, 3, 2, 1 sentences.
FINGERTIP TECHNIQUE - a quick and effective process to deal with the dissolution of disturbing and persistent imagery. The mental image is constructed and deconstructed in a series of discrete steps. The end-result is a welcome erasure.
LITTLE MAGICAL METHOD - similar to the Fingertip Technique. A recent and recurring issue is discredited in real time.
ENTITY HANDLING - a dialoging process engaging a stuck energy presence or feeling that persists in the body for a period of time without resolution. The "entity" is created, communicated with and then allowed to choose freedom. The process allows the identification of the "controller" of the entity to be revealed.
GNOSTIC INTENSIVE - brings the client to an understanding of the meaning of "I AM" by confronting what he/she is not.
THE HOLOGRAM - this process invites to the "Arthurian" round table all the sustainers, contributors, and influencers of the issue being processed. This is a dialoging technique with the client first stating his issues to each contributor and then walking "in the shoes" of those seated at the table. Contributors need not be individuals but any major influence.
MORE PROCESSES ARE ADDED PERIODICALLY AFTER THEY ARE DEVELOPED AND TESTED ON CONTROL GROUPS.
